Kanab

Kanab is a beautiful area and has some unique trails just north and west of town. The trail system ranges from easy to difficult and sand to slick rock. Two of my favorite locations are Hog Canyon and Peekaboo Canyon.
Hog Canyon is more of an advanced riding area of 20+ miles of trails that connect to about 100 miles more. Several trails resemble the 4x4 trails you might find in Moab. Parking is pretty good with the big parking area right at the mouth of the canyon. Peekaboo Canyon trail starts for the first 3 miles out as a deep sandy 4x4 trail that descends down to Peakaboo Canyon. Taking a left hand turn and heading west for just under a mile will leave you at the mouth of Red Slot Canyon. Red Slot Canyon is an easy but beautiful like through this hidden slot canyon. Map:
