I got the opportunity to show a group of friends the colored trails (Red, Blue, Orange, Green) in the Five Miles of Hell area. We chose not to ride the 5moh trail because a few of the riders were still somewhat new to riding. We started off riding the technical Red trail and continuing down the sandy high speed wash of the Orange trail. Originally we planned to ride over to the Waterfall trail but the Red trail took its toll on a couple of the inexperienced riders and it was decided that we take the VJ trail on over to the Green. After riding the Green trail to the trail head of the Blue we jumped on the dirt road and headed to the coral. Hoping to get a night ride in and get a chance to test some lights given to me by thumperjockey.com (it was a freaking full moon) the guys were too tired and ready to call it a day. We had a full day of riding the following day so off Green River it was. See San Rafael Swell page for more information on this area.
