Jericho
|
Jericho is a Ranch near the Little Sahara Sand Dunes. The old ranch is still used by sheep ranchers. This area is all but forgotten. Maybe it's because cattle still graze and more fences are being put up. Motorcycle trails still exist but are getting smaller and smaller. Some of the best trail riding is in this area. This is a great place for younger dirt bike riders. Hills aren't real steep and it doesn't seem to get real rocky. From here you can still access dirtbike trails in Cherry Creek, Black Mountains, and Little Sahara sand dunes.
Directions: Coming from the north take Santaquin Main Street exit 244 and turn West on Highway 6. Continue about 39 miles on Highway 6. Turn Right toward the Little Sahara Recreation Area for 2.3 miles. Turn Right onto No Name Road for 3.4 miles and you can park in a great staging area. If you are coming from the South take Nephi Exit 225 and turn West onto 100 North. Follow it out of town about 23 Miles to Highway 6. Cross Highway 6 toward toward the Little Sahara Recreation Area for 2.3 miles. Turn Right onto No Name Road for 3.4 miles and you can park in a great staging area. Suggestions: By staying North East on these trails the chances of you seeing another rider are pretty slim, but always be careful. Map:
