Behind The Rocks
|
Difficulty: 3 of 5
Miles: 14.5 Behind The Rocks is located south of Moab. This trail connects you to the top of Pritchett Canyon. The trail starts out on some non-technical 4x4 roads and becomes more technical the farther in you go. Most of the highly technical obstacles have an alternate route if you don't want to ride your dirt bike up or down them. Directions: From Center Street in Moab head south on Hwy 191 for 13 miles. The entrance is on the Right. Suggestions: The best way I've found to ride Behind The Rocks is to start your ride at Lower Kane Creek parking area. Once you reach Hwy 191 travel north on Hwy 191 for about 3.2 miles and Behind The Rocks is on your left. Ride Behind The Rocks until you reach the top of Pritchett Canyon. Continue riding down Pritchett Canyon to Kane Creek Blvd and back to where you started. Plan on about a 45 mile loop if you choose this route. You can always park on the Behind The Rocks road if you're not interested in riding the entire loop. Map:
